Morocco promete does not surrender against France and Argentina prepares for Croatia

With a historic campaign in Qatar, the Moroccans "have the knife in their teeth" waiting for the World Cup semi-final against France, which will be played next Wednesday (14), despite the injuries and tiredness of the squad. Argentina, on the other hand, has a balanced record of winning matches against Croatia, but counts on Messi to make a difference. The dispute takes place on Tuesday (13).

“We feel pain but we will prepare, we have no choice”, says the tireless Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, the Fiorentina player, one of the revelations of this World Cup.

Against the Portuguese, in the quarter-finals, coach Walid Regragui had “lost two important players with (Nayef) Aguerd and (Noussair) Mazraoui. But those who came in did an extraordinary job.”

Both may not be recovered in time for the semifinals. Jawad El Jamiq and Yahya Attiat Allah should continue to occupy their places against France.

Despite the losses, Morocco has the best defense in this World Cup, with a single goal conceded, in the group stage duel with Canada (2-1 victory), which was scored by Aguerd against his own goal. AND promego all out to France!

Messi is “more leader than ever” in Argentina, says Javier Zanetti

Star Lionel Messi is “more of a leader than ever” in the Argentina team, which next Tuesday (13) will face Croatia for a place in the Qatar World Cup final, said former Argentine defender Javier Zanetti.

“I see him as more of a leader than ever, he is showing it in every game”, he told reporters in Doha Zanetti, who participated in two World Cups for the Albiceleste (1998 and 2002).

Messi, 35, has been making a difference for the Argentines in Qatar, with four goals and two assists in five games.

“You don’t have personality because you scream or because you kick. Character is catching the ball, playing and doing the things Messi does. To do that, you have to have personality and Messi always did,” Nery Pumpido, goalkeeper for the Argentine world champion team in 1986, told AFP.

“He's always shown that, but now you can see it a little more because it's the World Cup. Personality is when you see things as difficult and ask for the ball and Messi has always done that. You have to differentiate what personality is for one thing and when it is for another,” he pointed out.

It is this personality that Argentina is counting on to beat strong Croatia in the World Cup semi-final.
