The 35-year-old star won the FIFA award as the best in the world in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2019.
“This year was crazy for me, I managed to make my dream come true after fighting so much, searching so much, insisting so much. It’s every player’s dream and very few achieve it and I did it”, said the star upon receiving the award, visibly nervous.

In fact, members of the Argentine national team dominated this Monday's awards ceremony (27): Lionel Scaloni and Emiliano 'Dibu' Martínez received the awards for best coach and best goalkeeper, respectively.
To the Argentine fans, in huge numbers and protagonist in the World Cup in Qatar, saw her passion for the national team rewarded when she was elected the best fans in the world, an award that was received by folklorist Carlos Pascual 'El Tula', who played his emblematic bass drum on stage.
