Military personnel release note criticizing “rights restrictions” and excesses in demonstrations, says newspaper

Journalists Fausto Macedo and Pepita Ortega, from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, report that the commanders of the Navy, Army and Air Force prepared a statement aimed at “the Brazilian institutions and people”. The note from the High Command should be released this Friday (11).

In the document, the military defends the guarantee of peaceful demonstrations and criticizes “excesses” that “may restrict individual and collective rights or put public safety at risk”. They also condemn “restrictions on rights by public agents”.
