Mpox: vaccination starts this Monday

According to Ministry of Health, the first phase of immunization against mpox will focus on groups at risk for severe forms of the disease, and on people living with HIV/AIDS and professionals who work in areas exposed to the virus.

Around 47 thousand doses of the vaccine are available in the National Immunization Program (PNI) for use by the population. The vaccination schedule is two for each person.

O Ministry of Health stated that the doses will be sent according to the progress of vaccination and in accordance with requests from the states and the Federal District.
