'All Quiet on the Front' leads Bafta 2023 nominations

Among great successes nominated for a Bafta - the British film academy's biggest award - the adaptation of a great literary work is the highlight.

At the 76th edition of Bafta, 'Nothing New on the Front' shone like no other. The film shows three friends who voluntarily enlisted in the German army with the fervor of patriotism. But when faced with life on the battlefront, they see a brutal reality.

The event list was released this Thursday (19) and the film was nominated for 14 categories. 

But this is not the only great success of the edition. “The Banshees of Inisherin” e “Everything everywhere at the same time”, had 10 nominations each and "Elvis" competes in nine categories.

At the beginning of the week, the event was already trending on social media with the announcement of who is competing for the category Rising Star: Emma mackey e Aimee Lou Wood, from the series "Sex Education"

Bafta (British) is one of the biggest film awards and has been gaining more and more prestige, as it is different from the Hollywood sphere and rewards local producers.

When does the award ceremony take place?

February 19th at 16pm is the scheduled date for the event.
