Netflix will broadcast first live event with Chris Rock special

Netflix will broadcast a live event next year for the first time, with comedian Chris Rock as host. The comedy show, Rock's second with Netflix, will be available in early 2023, the platform said in a statement.

"Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation. We are thrilled that the entire world can experience a live comedy event with Chris Rock and make history Netflix. This will be an unforgettable moment and we are so honored that Chris will be behind the wheel,” said Netflix Vice President of Comedy Robbie Praw.

A Netflix, which lost subscribers for the first time earlier this year before recently announcing that it had returned to growth, has been testing new models, including a cheaper subscription with commercials.
