New suspicion arises in the case of the attack on the vice-president of Argentina

A third person suspected in the attempt on the life of the vice-president of Argentina, Cristina Kirchner, was arrested on Monday night (12).

A woman was arrested this Tuesday (13), she is the third suspect in the attempted assassination of the vice-president of Argentina, Cristina Kirchner. The crime took place on September 1st.

The identity of the suspect was not revealed. She was in contact with Brenda Uliarte, girlfriend of Brazilian Fernando Sabag Montiel. The couple has already been accused of the crime. The arrest of the third suspect took place on Monday (12).

According to La Nación, messages extracted from Uliarte's cell phone raised investigators' suspicions that the group had already tried to assassinate the vice president on at least two other occasions.

Argentine police discovered that the person accused of trying to shoot Vice President Cristina Kirchner planned another attack against her on August 27th. This attempt would have been discovered during the examination of the contents of the cell phone of Fernando Sabag Montiel's girlfriend, Brenda Uliarte, with the evidence attached to the case on Monday. The judge responsible for the case, María Eugenia Capuchetti, ordered judicial secrecy over the process.
