The Last Forest (2021)

The documentary shows the struggle of shaman Davi Kopenawa Yanomami, author of The Fall of Heaven, in partnership with ethnologist Bruce Albert, to keep the traditions of his people alive, while miners are approaching. The film won the audience award at the Panorama show at the Berlin Festival.

Filmmaker Jorge Bodanzky travels to Amazon since the 1970s and, since then, has shown the impact of the highway on the forest and indigenous peoples. More than 40 years after the inauguration of BR-230, he returned to the route to expose the consequences of its opening.

Before Time Didn't End (2016)

The film tells the story of Anderson Tikuna. He is a young indigenous man who left his village to live on the outskirts of Manaus, where he works in an electronics factory. Anderson finds himself torn between the traditions of his people, which include painful rites of passage and affirmation of masculinity, and his life in the city and discovery of sexuality. The production talks about indigenous people in the urban context and openly addresses an LGBTQIA+ issue in this universe.

Piripkura (2017)

The documentary follows the expeditions of indigenous man Jair Candor to search for the only two known survivors of the Piripkura people in their territory, in the north of Mato Grosso. The Piripkura's cause is urgent – ​​in 2020 and 2021 alone, there was a 27.000% increase in deforestation of their indigenous land, according to the Instituto Socioambiental, compared to the previous two years.

The Fever (2019)

Regis Myrupu became the first indigenous person to win the best actor award at the Locarno and Brasília festivals, for his portrayal of Justino, an indigenous person from the Desana people who migrated to the outskirts of Manaus. He works as a watchman at the port's cargo terminal and, when his daughter passes the medical entrance exam, Justino begins to suffer from a mysterious fever.
