Restaura Natureza, WWF-Brazil's Brazilian Ecosystem Restoration Olympiad, has registrations open for its second edition. The 10 themes of 2023 olympics – which connect to the school curriculum and are important ways to restore nature and people’s connection with it – are:

  • Food safety;
  • Laws that protect;
  • Biodiversity;
  • Conserve;
  • Original peoples;
  • Climate changes;
  • Ecosystem services;
  • Communities;
  • Water scarcity;
  • Restoration techniques.

The Olympics is made up of two simultaneous phases: phase online, which presents training themes and invites students to test their knowledge individually, and to practical phase, carried out in groups, in which children and young people will develop, accompanied by a responsible teacher, their projects related to the use of technology, planting, changes in community management, engagement campaigns or any creative action that promotes the restoration of ecosystems .

Students accumulate points in both phases. You can also earn points by inviting friends to the Restores Nature. All groups that send a report of their actions will compete in two categories: Judging Committee and Popular Vote, which are worth prizes.
