PF operation targets faction that planned to attack authorities; Sérgio Moro was a target

The Federal Police discovered a plan by the criminal faction PCC to attack public servants and authorities, including a prosecutor - whose identity was not revealed - and senator Sérgio Moro. The information was confirmed by the former Lava Jato judge himself on social media. Federal police officers carry out 11 arrest warrants and 24 search and seizure warrants in four Brazilian states. 9 people have been arrested so far.

Bolsonaro's former minister and former judge Sérgio Moro published, early on, a post confirming that he was the target of criminals who, according to him, are from the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital), a faction that was born inside São Paulo's prisons.

Also on Wednesday morning, the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, reported that the Federal Police was working to dismantle the gang that had important targets in its sights, but did not mention any names.

In a note published on the PF website, the corporation states that the operation carried out in the states of Rondônia, Pará, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo and the Federal District, aims to “dismantle a criminal organization that intended to carry out attacks against servers public and authorities, including homicides and extortion through kidnapping, in at least five units of the federation”.

According to investigations, the attacks could occur simultaneously, and the main suspects were in the states of São Paulo and Paraná.

Around 120 federal police officers were deployed for the actions.
