Participants of a neo-Nazi clan are arrested in SC

The Santa Catarina Court ordered yesterday (15) the preventive detention of eight men suspected of participating in a neo-Nazi group. The men were gathered at a farm in Florianópolis/SC at the time of the arrest, which was caught in the act.

At the scene of the arrests, police found magazines and various objects with supremacist symbols. The identities of the group's members were not revealed, but they are between 22 and 48 years old, according to the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina.

Seizure and fine

Cell phones and computers were seized. The prisoners were charged with crimes of criminal association and racism. One of the members was also charged with illegal possession of a weapon.

In a statement, the MPSC reported that “among those arrested, there is a member of an international skinhead group, known for being intolerant and far-right”.

Cases

This is not the first case related to neo-Nazism registered in Santa Catarina. In October, four people who allegedly participate in a neo-Nazi group were arrested in the state. And, last week, the Federal University of Santa Catarina reported that it received a letter with Nazi threats.
