Bolsonaro pastor pretends to retract Lula and lies about TSE subpoena; Court states that it did not issue a decision against the religious

The Superior Electoral Court denied a video by the pastor of the Baptist Church of Lagoinha (BH), André Valadão, in which he claims to have received a direct subpoena from Alexandre de Moraes, to recant about the PT candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) . In the video, the pastor simulates a retraction and makes it clear that he is being forced to do so. The lie is already circulating on evangelical WhatsApp networks with a call for censorship.

According to the TSE, the court received the request for the right to reply made by the PT and only summoned pastor André Valadão so that he could present his defense. Only after the defense has been presented will Minister Alexandre de Moraes judge the case, according to a report from Estadão.

This means that the document I didn’t ask the pastor to record a video backing down from the accusations. However, the leader of one of the largest evangelical churches in the country rushed to social media to read what was in the subpoena – still in the pre-trial phase – and, in the end, send the wrong message that he was being censored.

With his voice breaking, at the end of the publication, the pastor cites freedom of expression and asks that “God bless Brazil”.

André Valadão is one of the most active Bolsonarists on social media and has been constantly denounced by fake news: he has already said that Lula will close churches, that he will allow robbers to invade the homes of “good people”, that the candidate is an abortionist and in favor of drugs . All statements have already been denied by the PT campaign.
