Instagram profile tries to identify scammers in Brasília

“Profile for identifying criminals who attack Brazil’s democracy!”, says the description in Instagram.

In some posts, the profile administrator “Countercoup Brazil” publishes the photo of the participant in the coup and asks followers to help with identification.

Attorney General's Office

With the same objective of identifying the extremists who participated in the invasion of the offices of Power in Brasília, the Attorney General's Office (PGR) opened a channel for people to send videos, photos or prints of social networks.

According to the agency, the Secretariat of Expertise, Research and Analysis of the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) will act to “preserve the evidentiary material necessary for the punishment of offenders based on investigations to be conducted by the respective natural prosecutors of the cases”.

The PGR said it will inform this Monday (9) how people can forward the materials.
