BC employees have been demanding the creation of Pix, which, although it was launched in November 2020, during the Bolsonaro government, was created during the Michel Temer administration.

When answering the question, Campos Neto clarified that there was already a work group on instant payments before his arrival, with positive conclusions for the development of this project. During his administration, however, said the BC president, there was an understanding that instant payments should have priority.
"The BC team worked day and night during the pandemic to make Pix work. Pix proved to be a success, it is an achievement for BC, for BC employees, and it is just the beginning, there is much more to happen”, said Campos Neto. “Pix was not my project, it is a BC project, and it has several new features that will happen in the future."
