Presidential candidates reserve agenda in preparation for debate on TV Globo

Candidates for the Presidency are taking advantage of the remaining hours until Thursday night (29), to prepare for the last debate of the campaign before the first round on TV Globo, right after the broadcast of the soap opera Pantanal. The event is considered important because it occurs so close to the election, when some undecided voters finally decide to vote.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), Ciro Gomes (PDT), Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil), Felipe d'Avila (Novo) and Padre Kelmon (PTB) reserved the entire agenda for this Wednesday (28), in a training for possible questions and answers asked during the debate, and also to evaluate, with the campaign teams, communication scenarios for the event.

The PT campaign sees the former president's appearance at the last event of this type as strategic: as he intends to win in the first round, Lula would use the exposure on TV to convince undecided voters to go to the polls.

Remembering that Lula did not attend the debate on SBT, arguing against the format chosen by the press pool.

Campaign agenda

Among the seven participants defined in accordance with the Electoral Law, only President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and Senator Simone Tebet (MDB) made commitments unrelated to the debate this Wednesday.

Simone Tebet visited Mercadão de São Paulo and should also attend a hearing on TV Record in the evening.

President Bolsonaro visited the Neymar Jr Institute, receiving a video from Neymar himself thanking him for the “illustrious visit” and went on a motorcycle ride in Santos (SP).

The PL candidate also participated in a rally in which he once again called Lula the “biggest thief in the history of Brazil”. And there was a reaction to counter protesters at the event:
