Rejection

Rejected by public opinion and questioned within her own party, the 47-year-old Conservative leader was on the ropes just six weeks after taking office.

His popularity plummeted in part due to the abandonment of his package of economic measures, which included massive tax cuts and major support for paying energy bills, two issues that raised fears of a collapse in public accounts.

Furthermore, since Wednesday, more than a dozen conservative deputies have called on her to resign. The last few hours have been true “chaos”, according to the British press.
