According to the Ministry of Health, the vaccines will be used to carrying out studies, on the recommendation of the World Health Organization (WHO).

“It is important to emphasize that vaccines are safe and are currently used against human smallpox or common smallpox. Therefore, the study aims to generate evidence on the effectiveness, immunogenicity and safety of the monkeypox vaccine and, thus, guide managers' decisions”, informed the Ministry of Health.
