Prince Harry edited memoirs out of fear his father and brother wouldn't 'forgive' him

Prince Harry cut excerpts from his memoirs out of fear that his father, King Charles III, and brother, Prince William, would never "forgive" him for certain revelations. The book, titled 'Spare', was released last Tuesday (10) and was an impressive success, with almost 1,5 million copies sold on the first day alone.

“The first draft was very different. It had 800 pages, now it only has 400. It could have been two books. The hardest part was taking things out,” he said. Harry, in an interview published this Friday (13) in The Telegraph newspaper.

“Things happened, mostly between my brother and I and to some extent between my father and I, that I don’t want the world to know about. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me”, confessed the prince.

Harry said he decided to bring his wounds to the surface not to “sink” the british royal family, but because he considered it up to him to try to change it to protect William's children. “I know that, of these three children, at least one will end up like me, the replacement, and that worries me,” she declared in the interview, carried out before the book’s release.
