O Youth in the Pandemic Project is receiving applications from children and adolescents aged 8 and 17 who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression related to the context of the covid-19 pandemic.

What is the focus?
The objective of the project is to help children and adolescents to better deal with the complicated and most frequent emotions during the pandemic period, such as stress, sadness and anxiety.
How does it work?
Psychotherapy sessions are carried out online, and can be done on any device that has internet. Parents can participate in sessions with young people. It is completely free and children and teenagers from any location in Brazil can sign up.
Oh, it's worth remembering that it's a study, but the names of the participants will not be disclosed. Participation is voluntary!

The study is part of the Thematic Project “Interventions in early childhood and trajectory of cognitive, social and emotional development”, which FAPESP finances, coordinated by Professor Guilherme Polancczyk.

The process lasts between 2 months and 3 months, in 3 meetings with an evaluating psychologist. In addition, children and adolescents must watch, with their guardians, 15 videos distributed by the program.
