The initial request was two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros against the Brazilian star.

The decision also extends to the other defendants: the athlete's parents, the administrators of the family company N&N Consultoria Esportiva, the former president of Santos Odílio Rodrigues, the former presidents of Barcelona Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeue Sergi Atienza, legal representative of the Catalan club.

“This trial was based on presumptions, not evidence. And DIS has the right to think that it benefited less from Neymar's transfer, but it erred in its jurisdiction, as it should have gone to the civil (court) and not the criminal one”, stated the Prosecutor's Office, according to the Spanish newspaper Trademarks.
