PSG ends suspension and Messi returns to training with the team

Paris Saint-Germain ended Lionel Messi's suspension for his trip to Saudi Arabia and the Argentine star returned to training with the team this Monday, the club announced on its Twitter account.

“Leo Messi back in training this Monday morning”, tweeted PSG with a photo of the player in action.

Messi's period away from the club lasted six days. Last Tuesday, he was suspended by the board due to an unauthorized promotional trip to Saudi Arabia, for which he later apologized in a public video on his Instagram account.

The player was left out of PSG's victory over Troyes (3-1) on Sunday and could return in the 35th round of the French Championship, against Ajaccio, next Saturday, at Parque dos Príncipes.

Messi is close to winning his second Ligue 1 title, with PSG in the lead, six points behind Lens (2nd) with four rounds remaining in the championship.

At 35 years old, the Argentine has a contract with the club until June, and a departure is more likely than a renewal.
