Sandman, which is part of the DC Comics universe, is based on the comics of the same name written by Neil Gaiman. Without too many spoilers, the series follows the character Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams – also known as Dream – as he is imprisoned for more than a century after being captured by mortals.

The seven Perpetuals are children of two cosmic entities: Night and Time. They are: Fate, Death, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair and Delirium. Each has their own kingdom and they avoid meddling in each other's affairs.
Destination
He is the oldest of the Perpetuals. He appeared together with the first being created in the universe. He always carries a book that contains a record of the destiny of all beings that exist or will exist. Despite being blind, he can see every detail of existence very clearly.
The character's kingdom is a luxurious garden. And very different from his brothers, Destino avoids showing emotions.

Death
When we think of a character with that name, we imagine some skeleton with a cape, right? In Sandman, Death breaks all expectations. She is an optimistic and friendly young woman, who gets along well with all her brothers, especially with Sonho. Her duty is to help other beings make the transition at the end of their lives.
Her kingdom was never revealed in the comics.
Dream
Also known as Morpheus – who in Greek mythology is the god of dreams – is the third Perpetual in order of birth.
She has pale skin, messy hair and eyes that shine like stars in the dark. He is responsible for creating the dreams and nightmares, like the villain Corinthian, of all living beings.

His kingdom is Dreaming, which has several magical creatures and two well-known biblical characters: the brothers Cain and Abel.
Undoing
Known also by the name of Olethros and “The Prodigal”, he abandoned his own kingdom and his duties 300 years ago, in search of a simpler life. He rarely has contact with his brothers.

He has a selfish and persuasive personality. Furthermore, he always invites problems for his brothers. His kingdom is represented by a statue of his own body.
Despair
She is Desire's twin sister. It represents the fears, anguish and anxiety present in the universe.

She has the appearance of an obese woman, with grayish skin. Her kingdom is known as “The Gray Kingdom”. The place has several floating mirrors in which people try to see through them, but they can only see Despair in the reflection. She is almost always accompanied by rats.
