Rio de Janeiro breaks heat record and records the highest thermal sensation in 14 years

Rio de Janeiro is still beautiful - and hot too! 🥵 This Sunday (5), the city recorded the highest thermal sensation in 14 years. Thermometers showed 58°C at Santa Cruz station, west of Rio.

According to Alerta Rio, the city hall's monitoring system, this was the greatest thermal sensation since 2009, when the agency began taking measurements.

On social media, there was no shortage of comments about the “killing heat” that is happening in Rio de Janeiro. 😅
