Rio will have the highest number of femicides in six years in 2022

When the numbers were compared with 2021, there was an increase of 29,4% (or 25 more cases). Compared to 2017, the expansion is 61,8% (42 more cases).

The dossier also records the occurrence of 293 attempted feminicides in 2022, an increase of 11% (29 cases) compared to the previous year (264 records).

The Dossier Mulher 2023, a study that brings together data on crimes against women in the state of Rio de Janeiro, will be released today (8).
