Without rice and beans, but with whey protein on hand

There were people who didn't like the announcement of tax reductions on dietary supplements made by President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), this Friday (19). The other presidential candidates also made waves on Twitter. Come check it out!

Ciro Gomes (PDT)

A survey released in 2021 by the Food and Nutrition Surveillance System (SISVAN) of the Ministry of Health showed that only 1 in 4 children attended to in Primary Care services can eat the three main meals of the day.

The PDT candidate used the data to demonstrate his indignation at the lack of political will to resolve the issue of hunger in the country. “33 million Brazilians didn’t eat anything today, this in the country that produces the most food in the world,” he said.

Simone Tebet (MDB)

As the saying goes: “For a good connoisseur, half a word is enough”, in a very simple way, the senator explained the four main axes of her government plan if she wins the elections. The candidate spoke about the subject during an interview on Flow Podcast.

Bolsonaro (PL)

The candidate for re-election to Palácio do Planalto announced the reduction of taxes on Whey Protein and other dietary supplements. The tax went from 11% to 0%.

To communicate the decision online, the president's profile shared a montage of Bolsonaro's face on a bodybuilder's body.

Twitter users questionreduce taxes on items that are not part of Brazilians' basic diet. “People eat rice, beans and meat, not supplements for rich people who go to the gym,” wrote one person.

Squid (PT)

Regarding the spread of hate in political discussions, the PT member commented that this phenomenon that incites violence is the result of Bolsonarism. “I’m 76 years old and I have no room for hate anymore,” he said.
