Spoiler: fifth season of Cobra Kai returns with historical character

The fifth season of Cobra Kai is coming and with it, a historical character returns to the franchise. A spoiler: he's a villain!

Netflix released photos from the 5th season of Cobra Kai, a series that takes place thirty years after the time of The Karate Kid. The series began to be produced by the platform in 2020, but has existed since 2018 when it was produced by YouTube. The new season premieres on September 9th.

In the photos, you can see some spoilers and one of them is the return of a Karate Kid villain: Mike Barnes, from Karate Kid 3 – The Final Challenge, played by Sean Kanan.

Remember points from season 4:

The series usually brings back the franchise's old stars, and several actors have already returned to revive their characters, such as Rendee Heller and Yuji Okumoto, playing Lucille LaRusso and Chozen Toguchi respectively.

The series highlights the dispute that began three decades ago between Daniel, played by Ralph Macchio, and Johnny Lawrence, played by William Zabka. The rivals faced each other again after deciding to open competing dojos, but now the two will team up to take the Cobra Kai dojo away from John Kreese, the villain played by Martin Kove.
