So close and so far: Rock in Rio audience is discouraged by ticket prices

With a month to go until the festival, thousands of people are selling their tickets due to budget cuts. The costs to get to the event are excruciating!

The name of Rock in Rio was in evidence on the networks this week, but it wasn't because of the starry list of shows. The reason? There is less than a month until the opening of the festival and thousands of people are selling their tickets due to lack of budget, as the costs of getting to the festival are painful.

In a quick search, you can see ticket prices from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro; a 45-minute flight costs R$2.139 round trip.

The festival

The event will take place on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9,10th, 11th and XNUMXth of September, at the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca.

Tickets sold out in April, as the festival itself announced, but on Tuesday (9) exceptional sales opened. Everything was sold within a few minutes.

With a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2022 edition of Rock in Rio will begin on September 2nd. The festival expects 700 thousand people, including from other countries.
