Volodymyr Zelensky, president of Ukraine, was named Person of the Year by Time magazine. The magazine highlighted Ukrainian resilience under the Russian invasion, which has been ongoing since February 24.

Zelensky has been the face of Ukraine's resistance for nine months, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, when President Vladimir Putin ordered a special military operation on Ukrainian territory.
