Trump will publish letters received from powerful people, world leaders and famous people

Former US President Donald Trump will publish around 150 letters from great names in modern history, including Kim Jong-un and Oprah Winfrey, the publisher responsible for the publication said this Thursday (9).

“Letters to Trump” brings together “incredible and often private” correspondence between the former US president and world leaders, media personalities, athletes and large companies, according to Winning Team Publishing.

The book, which goes on sale April 25, covers four decades of correspondence and reveals, for example, that Winfrey told the Republican leader in 2000: “too bad we’re not running. What a team!”

Many of the letters, all chosen by Trump, are from media personalities, but others are from big names in politics such as Hillary Clinton and Kim Jong-un, leader of North Korea.

His contacts with Kim had great political relevance and even some eccentricity, as when Trump said that he and the authoritarian North Korean leader “were in love” with each other.

Kim's messages were part of confidential government documents found in Trump's Florida mansion last year and for which the former president is accused of embezzlement.

Some letters date back to well before Trump became president, such as the correspondence exchanged with former US President Richard Nixon.
