TSE responds to states’ request and authorizes reinforcement of the Armed Forces in elections

The decision must be endorsed by the Plenary of the Court. In Rio de Janeiro, Federal Force military personnel must operate in 167 municipalities, as requested by the state's Regional Electoral Court (TRE). Maranhão requested support in 97 locations.

Requests were also granted from the states of Acre, Alagoas, Amazonas, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Pará, Piauí and Tocantins. Among the requests are logistical support on indigenous lands.

TSE simulates project-piloto to test integrity of ballot boxes

The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) simulated, this Thursday (15), the project-pilotthat of the Integrity Test of Electronic Voting Machines with biometrics, which will be carried out in the 2022 Elections – the measure meets the suggestion of the Ministry of Defense. The event was open to the press and was attended by the President of the Court, Minister Alexandre de Moraes, the other TSE ministers and other authorities.
