You may have heard of neurodivergent, neuroatypical or atypical. These nomenclatures are usually associated with people on the autism spectrum. But they also cover other neurocognition disorders and conditions, that is: people who have brain functioning that is different from the majority. From this idea, the concept of neurodiversity emerged, which talks about the differences that exist in the human brain. 40 of Brazil's 118 health macro-regions have a high rate of Covid-19 cases, says Instituto Todos pela Saúde

According to the Todos pela Saúde Institute (ITpS), in a report released this Thursday (8), 33,9% of Brazilian macro-regions showed an increase in the rate of weekly cases of covid-19 at the beginning of December. Using data from the Ministry of Health, ITpS identified that of the 118 macro-regions in Brazil, 40 had a high number of contaminations. The high rates are mainly in the states of Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Paraíba and Distrito Federal. Femicides grow 10% in the country in the 1st half of 2022 and reach 699 victims

The number of femicides recorded in the first half of this year in Brazil is 10,8% higher compared to the same period in 2019, which was not affected by the dynamics imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. On average, four women were murdered per day between January and June, totaling 699 victims (3,2% more than last year).

Brazilian startup Eco Panplas – responsible for a project that keeps 17 billion liters of drinking water clean annually by collecting and recycling lubricant packaging – won the “Water” category at the 23rd edition of the Energy Globe World Award. Considered the most important environmental award in the world, it recognizes companies in 5 categories: Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth. A study proposes the use of credits linked to conservation initiatives in order to unlock the flow of resources to protect global biodiversity. Named “biocredits”, the idea is that they serve under the same logic as the famous carbon credits. Companies could offset the impacts of their operations on biodiversity by purchasing credits resulting from conservation projects, which would sell these benefits in exchange for more resources to finance their maintenance and expansion.
