'Do you want to shut me up?': candidate from Piauí goes viral after rebutting mediator in debate

Yesterday (16), what was supposed to be a debate of ideas between candidates for the government of Piauí, ended up becoming a production of memes that went viral on the networks and appeared as one of the most talked about topics on Twitter this Wednesday (17).

Held by TV Cidade Verde, the debate featured the participation of nine candidates running for state government.

Among them is Lourdes Melo, from the Partido da Causa Operária (PCO), who at the beginning of the third block rebutted mediator Joelson Giordani when she was interrupted while responding. “Ah, do you want to shut me up?” questionor.

For those who didn't understand. When Lourdes speaks, the presenter asks her, first of all, to name the candidate who will answer her question. However, Lourdes didn't like the interruption at all and immediately said the phrase that spread across the four corners of the internet today.

The microphone audio was cut off during the discussion between the presenter and the PCO candidate. “Ah, you want to protect the candidates”, Lourdes said afterwards.

And as expected, people took the opportunity to comment on what they thought of the situation:

The PCO candidate, who was dressed in a red Brazilian team shirt with a communism symbol, starred in another moment that had repercussions on social media. This time, she called her opponent Gessy Lima (PSC) a “Bolsonaro Barbie”.
