Do you use the term sealed correctly?

On the internet, the slang term "sealing" has several meanings and began to be used some time ago by members and supporters of the LGBTQIAP+ community, did you know? But the term has taken on different meanings. Come the Curto News explains it to you!

Meme that went viral on the internet

When the term emerged, it was a compliment to someone who did something really well, in the sense of “killed it!” or “shocked!”

Now the word sealing is also used in the form of criticism, and even as a synonym for place.

By the way, have you ever heard of “Lacrolandia”? The expression is used by someone to criticize personal opinions that they consider unnecessary and meaningless, or that differ from a position they believe or support.

Long time…

In the past, you could use “sealrou” in another way, like “shut up”, to express an opinion that no one could dispute. And from this wave came the term used in political debates or fights on social media.

But this meaning was used in such an unpleasant way that it came to be considered ridiculous, used in dubious situations and by people who, in a certain way, wanted to teach a “moral lesson”.

Now, using this term can mean that someone has expressed an opinion that is unsubstantiated, or that is against dignified social logic, or simply a boring opinion.

And it is up to each person to check whether the term was used with the intention of praise or criticism.

Used positively:

  • “You sealed it, friend!” — When someone does something well.
  • “Wow, the night was pure awesome” — The night was very good.

Used negatively:

  • “Here comes the lacrolândia gang” — Used to talk about people considered boring.
  • “He only knows how to seal it and ends up talking nonsense” — When someone tries to say something and ends up contradicting themselves or saying inane things

Oh, and we couldn't leave out what's in HIGH on social media: the sealing twins! They chose this name, OBVIOUSLY, for sealing it in a cool way.

So, how are you using sealedrou on your networks?
