After devaluation of virtual currency by more than 80%, Bolsonaro's son abandons metaverse project that features his father as a hero

Just over a month after announcing the launch of Myla Metaverse, a “conservative” metaverse, the platform's partner and ambassador, Jair Renan, Bolsonaro's son, announces his departure from the project. The announcement was made last Tuesday night (29), on 04's social networks. The announcement comes after the platform's virtual currency, which is not yet available for entry, lost more than 80% of its value.

Jair Renan claimed to be a partner and ambassador of the platform that has the Minister of the Federal Supreme Court, Alexandre de Moraes, as an antagonist

Even without the metaverse, Myla's coin began circulating on November 20th costing US$0,079. However, just over ten days after the first offering, on December 1st, the token is costing no more than US$0,010.

Jair Renan said he was proud to be an ambassador for the metaverse

In promoting the metaverse, Jair Renan promoted himself as a partner and ambassador of the platform. In posts on social media, Renan said that joining Myla would be an “opportunity to change your life”. In one of the videos, published on November 17th, which was also deleted from the networks, the platform's until then mobilizer said: “Myla Metaverse will give you this opportunity, and I'll tell you: I'm very proud to be an ambassador of this company.”

In Jair Renan's termination message, published on Telegram, his lawyer did not present the reason for the businessman's departure from the project: “I'm passing by to inform you of Mr. Renan Bolsonaro's termination from Myla Metaverse. From today. Good luck to everyone".

Renan, in turn, went to Instagram to say that the dismissal happened “due to contractual issues”.

Lawyer specializing in metaverse issues believes that action could bring complications for Bolsonaro's youngest son

For lawyer Silvia Piva, researcher at FGV's Taxation Research Group in the Digital Environment, Jair Renan “may suffer some type of public liability if self-benefit in disclosure is proven. It is possible that he will even receive a fine.” The lawyer, as an example, used the case of influencer Kim Kardashian who, in November, received a fine of US$1,26 million, after promoting a cryptocurrency and not reporting how much profit he made from the action.

In the metaverse's sustainability and distribution plan, released by the company Utility Labs, responsible for Myla, the amount allocated for circulation within the game is just 1%, leaving doubts about the handling of income and the destination of the money invested by users in the offer initial.

Ao Newsverse, Utility Labs said that “there was a difference of opinion regarding the role of each partner within the project. After a few days without us reaching an agreement, Renan understood that it would be better for him to leave. All partners agreed.”

The report tried to contact Jair Renan, but received no response.
