Apple and Disney announce partnership to make Disney+ available on the Vision Pro headset

During the WWDC 2023 event of Apple, in addition to revealing the launch of the Vision Pro headset, the company announced a partnership with Disney+ to offer the streaming platform on hardware firsthand.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that this will allow Vision Pro users to dive into a catalog of exclusive Disney films and series directly on their headset.

Although the exact release date has not yet been revealed, the Apple reported that the Vision Pro will be available in 2024, with a price in the range of US$3.499,00. Bob Iger took the opportunity to mention that Disney has plans to further expand its partnership with Apple In the next months.

The teaser trailer released by the companies features several iconic Disney characters and locations being displayed on the Vision Pro's display, increasing fans' expectations about the immersive possibilities that the device will provide.

In addition to the availability of Disney+ on Vision Pro, the streaming service application will also feature new features exclusive to the device. During the presentation, a clip from the popular series “The Mandalorian” was shown accompanied by information about the plot and even a location search related to the episode.

Additionally, users will be able to enjoy virtual reality experiences, such as 3D rendering of a basketball game with an aerial view of the court. These innovations promehas taken entertainment to a new level of immersion for Disney fans and technology enthusiasts.
