Banco 24Horas launches initiative focusing on the metaverse

TecBan, responsible for the Banco24Horas network, launched an initiative for the metaverse last Friday, the 20th. Focusing on young audiences, the network now has bank branches within GTA RolePlay, an open virtual world with several servers. In the 74 self-service machines within the MetaSoul server, players will be able to move the platform's digital currencies.

With the platform's currency, GTA$, users can buy houses, cars, skins and services within the game. With this, from the cashiers, players will be able to do as they would in the physical world, and go to the bank to withdraw money. The idea is much more along the lines of marking a presence in players' memories and leaving its mark on initiatives and the metaverse, rather than actually trying to popularize ATMs again. According to the digital platforms manager at TecBan, Luiz Fernando Ribeiro Lopes:

“Our idea as a company is to understand the movement of the metaverse and how the public behaves within this environment to adapt this to the essence of TecBan, with the aim of integrating the physical world with the digital one”

Within the GTARPFurthermore, users, through their avatars, can access the bank application from their cell phones and make transactions. With all the aesthetics that refer to the bank's physical branches, the bank's project in the metaverse was designed by MetaEXP, a startup specialized in creating metaverse experiences for companies.
