BBC Studios teams up with The Sandbox to create immersive experiences in the metaverse

BBC Studios announced this Thursday (25) an innovative partnership with Reality+ and The Sandbox platform to bring its most popular brands to the metaverse.

It collaboration will allow players to interact with immersive content from famous BBC Studios programs such as Top Gear and Doctor Who. This is the first time that the BBC has launched an immersive experience in a virtual world.

With this partnership, BBC Studios plans to explore new interactive experiences for fans, integrating into the metaverse gradually.

In addition to offering virtual entertainment, the initiative also emphasizes sustainability. With the participation of Offsetra and Nori, platforms with a sustainable focus, carbon offsetting efforts will be intensified.
