China Hi-Tech Fair brings together technology giants and metaverse debate

Have you heard of the China Hi-Tech Fair? Well, know that it is the largest high-technology fair in the world, and this year's edition (CHTF 2022) is already considered the “biggest of all time”. The event started this week and ends this Saturday (19) in Shenzhen, in China, with several virtual broadcasts. There are 5 thousand exhibitors from 40 countries - including Brazil - who launch the latest in high-tech products and solutions. There are exhibitions, commercial negotiations and investment financing in various sectors, including reality virtual and world-building in the metaverse.

The mega hi-tech fair brings new materials and resources that can be used in the areas of biomedicine, modern agriculture, fine chemicals, aerospace, new energy, cutting-edge equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection.

Present at the event are multinationals and industry champions such as China General Nuclear Power Corporation, Huawei, ZTE and Han's Laser, as well as high-tech “small giants” such as Kemai, a digital payment system provider; Keanda, a manufacturer of rail transportation products; and Insighters, a medical technology startup.

Foreign exhibitors from 38 countries are also participating, including Brazil, Canada, Finland and Russia, some of which will participate in the CHTF 2022 virtual platform.

Hi-Tech Forum

During CHTF 2022, the Hi-Tech Forum – held between the 15th and 17th – focused on the metaverse, digital economy, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, “lighthouse” factories and smart cities and future mobility.

Renowned scholars, academics and industry leaders, including Nobel Prize winner Roger D. Kornberg, have spoken about the integration of physical and virtual reality and how these two integrate into the metaverse.
