Company announces world's lightest virtual reality glasses

Virtual reality devices are still rapidly developing around the world. Most headsets available on the market are expensive, large and relatively heavy to wear on your face for a long time. With this in mind, an American company announced the lightest VR glasses in the world for the second half of 2023.

Weighing 127 grams, the headset was developed by virtual reality development company Bigscreen. Presented as the smallest and lightest on the market, the 'BigScreen Beyond' measures 143,1mm long and 52,4mm wide.

Being able to be adapted on a 3D scanning base for the user's face, the headset can offer more comfort for those who want to spend more time immersed in virtual reality. Furthermore, the technical characteristics attract attention.

According to the product presentation: “Beyond's ultra-high-resolution micro OLED displays produce breathtaking colors, deep black levels, crisp clarity and unbelievable detail. Combined with advanced optics, Beyond achieves 2-3 times greater visual fidelity than other VR headsets.”

The world's cheapest virtual reality glasses should hit the market at the end of the year

To find out if all these features are followed to the letter by the headset, users will have to wait until the third quarter of 2023, which is when the company will start delivering the products on a large scale. Enthusiasts in the United States can now place advance orders. After the USA, Canada, European countries, Australia, New Zealand and Japan will receive the products at the end of the year. For other regions, Beyond is expected to be available from 2024.

The starting price published by the company for the product is $999. Beyond can be an alternative for people who avoid headsets due to their bulky size and difficulty in transporting, however, in global reality, the price is still steep.
