Founder of OpenAI seeks $100 million in funding for startup Worldcoin and its collective cryptocurrency project

At the beginning of this week, North American websites are reporting on the advanced negotiations of a large investment for another startup by the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman. The new business would involve cryptocurrencies.

The boss behind ChatGPT wants to secure US$100 million in funding for startup Worldcoin and its ambitious project to create a collectively owned cryptocurrency. According to information released by Bloomberg and the Financial Times, the funds will come from a combination of new and existing investors.

Worldcoin, founded in 2020 by Alex Blania, Sam Altman and Max Novendstern, seeks to resolve issues related to artificial intelligence by developing an innovative blockchain protocol.
