Our chat today will be divided between Gabi and Gabby. Gabi lives in São Paulo, while Gabby lives at Avatar Studio Club, an animation unit.
To better understand this turning point from the physical world to the Web3.0, Gabi explained that she and her husband have always been “big fans of animation, from older Disney 2D animations, to Japanese anime and more modern 3D animations, with a more gaming language.” In addition to the couple being superfans of the animation language, they have also been part of the audiovisual universe for a long time.

But Gabi explained that, despite her desire, until recently, producing her own animations was “unfeasible with a smaller structure, due to technology barriers”.
“The biggest turning point was probably the technological change in Liverender, a real-time rendering technology that is used in games, and which was the seed of the idea of finally creating something with an animation aesthetic”, explained Gabi Caroli.

Is there any difference between Gabby and Gabi?
There are some basic differences that we defined when creating Gabby. The first is that they are the same person, despite one living in the real world and the other in the virtual world. Gabby's adventures happen while Gabi is sleeping, and vice versa, so they don't meet directly. Another point is that Gabby tends to address relatively different topics than Gabi, looking a little more at the metaverse and new technologies, but still with a focus on fashion and beauty. And, to top it off, Gabby has a life of her own there in the metaverse. There she travels, tells stories, is friends with Ava and will discover many things to experience. She is free, because in the metaverse everything is possible! I'm already here, living my routine in the real world and giving life to Gabby so she can make her revolution.
Why the little ear?
Because she is an Elf, a magical being discovering herself, and soon she will be taking advantage of her magical gifts more and more. The little ear is the symbol of all of Gabby's magic, but it is also a counterpoint to the fact that she lives in a virtual and technological world, being a virtual being who loves natural things.

How important is it that Gabby is the first plus size model in the metaverse?
Representation is always of great importance, and this new language of virtual avatars would be no different. Why follow conventional aesthetic standards, in a world where there are no rules or limitations on how you can express your image?! Maintaining Gabby as a reference for the plus size public, just like Gabi, was one of the first definitions we made and something we will always maintain, so that, in this new era of immersion that we are entering, people can from the beginning have a reference based on diversity and positivity. Furthermore, we feel that we are revolutionizing the way we communicate and offering a technology solution in addition to entertainment.
Gabby will grow, and will be able to talk to brands from all segments, bringing this important reflection on body diversity. When we created Gabby, I in no way wanted to reproduce the existing aesthetic standard, as I am very proud of who I am and the market in which I operate. So, it would make a lot of sense for Gabby to be fat and that's what made her the first plus-size female avatar in our segment. We will show wonderful looks, in addition to the stories that Gabby tells. She will grow a lot!
