Google wants to give new life to the classic game 'Space Invaders'; look

A Google and Taito, an Asian electronic game company, have teamed up to create a new version of the classic arcade game "Space Invaders", using augmented reality technology from Google.

The new edition, called “Space Invaders: World Defense“, will allow the game’s aliens to fly through real-world postcards.

The collaboration between the companies resulted in a more immersive experience for players, thanks to the use of ARCore and Geospatial Creator tools from Google. The game will feature lines and overlays for players to shoot aliens from the sky.

The expectation is that the game will not lose its technical quality and, at least, reach the heights of the most successful game in augmented reality in recent times, Pokemon Go.
