Adobe brings generative AI to Photoshop; understand

Adobe announced this Wednesday (24) its plans to integrate generative artificial intelligence into Photoshop.

  • The Generative Fill, new AI-based feature, allows the enhancement of images in a simplified way.
  • Users can update their images using text prompts similar to the Dall-E models and Midjourney.
  • The Photoshop-friendly tool is powered by Firefly, a family of generative AI models trained on a vast collection of images from Adobe Stock.
  • Generative Fill generates objects, backgrounds, extends and removes elements from images.
  • Additionally, it accelerates users' creativity by automatically matching perspective, lighting, and style.
  • In addition to Photoshop, Firefly will integrate other Adobe products, such as Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud and Adobe Express.
  • This bet by Adobe follows a trend among large technology companies. Observing the expansion of AI in the world and the popularization of tools such as Midjourney, large design companies are racing against time to avoid becoming obsolete.
  • On the official website you can see step-by-step instructions on how to use the platform's AI tool. Click here and check it out!
