Israel uses metaverse and artificial intelligence to transmit diplomatic messages; see video

In Israel, a diplomat used technology, more specifically the metaverse and artificial intelligence, to transmit a message into eight different languages, an action that could mark a new moment for institutional communication. On social media, the head of the digital diplomacy division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, David Saranga, had his avatar reproduced and his voice mirrored by AI in other languages.

Despite the barriers faced by different languages, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs found a playful solution to communicate using metaverse tools and artificial intelligence. Using a diplomat avatar and AI-generated voice, the video can be shared in any language.

Project was developed by a startup from Israel

The digital avatar was developed by an Israeli startup called D-ID and the speech was reproduced using a generative AI program. The innovative publication was made on the ministry's social networks on March 24th.

This can still be considered a test, but if efficient, it could help governments around the world with the aim of strengthening ties and intensifying diplomacy.
