Along with web3 platforms, Mastercard launches crypto debit card

In recent months, many people have been betting on the internet turning to web3. In this new phase, the economy would be decentralized, and experiences on the network would be intense and immersive. Taking this into consideration, Polygon Blockchain recently announced a partnership with cryptocurrency platform Hi Technology and Mastercard to offer, believe it or not, a cryptocurrency debit card.

The partnership works as follows: anyone who has a Polygon wallet will be able to create a card Mastercard debit card that allows users to spend cryptocurrencies in more than 90 million establishments around the world. Issuing the card is free for anyone who is already a Polygon customer. The platform also states that program members will receive benefits and discounts on digital subscriptions.

In a official statement, the companies said that “The flexibility to spend fiat currencies, stablecoins or other cryptocurrencies, combined with financial and lifestyle rewards, makes us confident that our card is a game changer in the market.”

It is not the company's first campaign involving web3, Mastercard also signals the metaverse

In June of this year, Mastercard also opened a partnership with Meta, engaging Horizon Worlds in a campaign to support the LGBT+ community.
