Meta bets on games to finance investments in virtual reality with Meta Quest

The new strategy for the virtual reality sector is seen as a way to finance the metaverse in the long term, but recognizing that games are the way to finance the virtual and augmented reality division.

It is not new that Meta's investors are fighting with the company's management to develop a popular application for Meta Quest. The desire is for this new idea to make the headset attractive to the public. 

Taking this into consideration, the plan now is to create an exclusive Meta Quest game, rivaling other VR headsets. The firm's engineering team is working on hardware to improve gaming performance and make the headset popular.

Despite the decision, the company did not give up on its metaverse social network Horizon Worlds. We reported on Newsverswhich now allows teenagers to enter the platform. This current shift in focus goes towards the metaverse's long-term survival plan. 

Meta now allows teenagers in its metaverse

Meta announced that it is opening its metaverse, Horizon Worlds, to teens in the United States and Canada as part of its strategy to increase engagement on its Quest headsets. Until then, the virtual reality social platform only allowed users aged 18 or over to enter.
