Meta now offers heart monitoring in its virtual reality glasses

On the 11th, Meta launched a new health feature in its virtual reality headsets. Quest and Quest 2 glasses can now integrate with fitness apps and show the user's heart rate.

O anúncio was created by the company with the aim of attracting athletes, professional or not, to the platform. In the statement, Meta says that when wearing the headset and connecting to the monitoring app on the smartphone, the person will have an exact statistical response to their heart rate, acceleration level and calories.

Athlete can receive heart rate information through virtual reality glasses

With a focus on performance, the fitness user can connect the Quest and other Bluetooth devices and receive information to achieve goals.

Meta communications manager Travis Isaman told the portal The Verge “When a compatible heart rate monitor is paired with Meta Quest Move, the heart rate overlay will be displayed in any VR game or app. A developer won’t need to integrate.”

The tool can be used in tune with Android, from Health Connect, or on IOS with the Apple health.
