Metaverse Fashion Week: Hugo Boss presents immersive space

Luxury fashion brand Hugo Boss has launched a virtual showroom in partnership with web3 Exclusible and Polycount, as part of Metaverse Fashion Week 2023. The digital space is an extension of the brand's Spring/Summer 2023 show in Miami and is located on the Spatial metaverse platform.

The virtual showroom features five catwalk hero outfits and allows visitors to purchase their favorite pieces in just a few clicks. The experience also includes an interactive mission that allows players to receive a digital suit from the brand's collection.

Hugo Boss CEO Daniel Grieder said the immersive showroom is the next step in exploring Web3 and the metaverse, exciting new spaces for fashion brands. The brand's 'omnichannel' strategy includes the concept of a virtual showroom as an additional and complementary sales channel to the physical show in Miami. The initiative is part of the brand's goal to become the leading technology-driven premium fashion platform across the world.

In October 2022, Hugo Boss launched a collection of 1.001 non-fungible tokens, which gave holders access to whitelists and freebies. Proceeds from primary sales were donated to a youth mental health program called “Youth Aware of Mental Health.” The launch of the virtual showroom reinforces the brand's commitment to Web3 and Metaverse, exploring new opportunities for the brand's narrative and its presence in the digital world.

The Hugo Boss virtual showroom is located on the metaverse platform spatial and features water elements inspired by the physical show in Miami. Runway hero outfits are created in the brand's signature nude palette and linked to the website for easy purchasing.

Additionally, the experience includes an interactive quest that allows players to receive a digital suit from the brand's Spring/Summer 2023 collection for use on the Ready Player Me multi-game avatar platform.
