Aiming at the metaverse, Lacoste launches virtual reality store

After Adidas, Nike, Puma, Gucci and other major brands in the fashion market were present in the metaverse, now Lacoste has also released its store on web3.0. The announcement was made this Tuesday, the 29th on the French brand's social networks. With the aim of amplifying the consumer experience, purchasing in the metaverse is done in a gamified way. Taken by the mouth of a crocodile, the brand's symbol, customers access a showroom with products that can be viewed in 360 degrees.

The French brand operates in more than 90 countries and the need to insert itself into the dynamics of Web3.0 is due to the digital presence of its competitors. Although the proposals of other companies are different in some aspects, they all want to be pioneers in this new era of the internet.

Lacoste aims to pioneer fashion

The CEO of Emperia, the digital projects company responsible for taking Lacoste into the virtual reality environment, says that “being present in the metaverse during such a significant shopping season and using NFTs in a practical way that creates a sense of community will take Lacoste to next level, allowing them to leverage e-commerce and web3 innovation like never before, positioning the brand as a fashion pioneer.”

It is worth remembering that following the boom in people's interest in the metaverse, the company had already launched NFTs. In March of this year, the brand also partnered with Minecraft on a collection of clothing and accessories. The Lacoste virtual reality environment can be accessed via brand site.
