At the forefront of digital fashion, Decentraland announces date for Metaverse Fashion Week 2023

Currently one of the most successful platforms in the global metaverse, Decentraland, in partnership with UNXD, brings Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) to the virtual catwalks with the aim of propagating art and culture within digital environments. The event will take place from March 28 to 31, 2023 and will feature the collaboration of other metaverses such as Spatial and Over.

Closing the spring/summer fashion season, Decentraland teamed up with the fashion NFT curation platform UNXD, responsible for Dolcce&Gabanna and Jacob&Co products in the metaverse, to engage fashion fans around the world to attend virtual events . At the inaugural event this year, according to the platform, more than 108 people attended and explored the digital fashion spaces of Metaverse Fashion Week.

The metaverse responsible for hosting the event in virtual lands believes that this is the most important fashion week on web3. This is because the hype brands in the luxury market are present at the fashion shows. Believers that this new market is heating up, strong emblems such as Tommy Hilfiger and Paco Rabanne have already been at MVFW.

MVFW Disclosure

The person responsible for the event is Brazilian and wants to establish fashion in the virtual environment once and for all.

Led by a Brazilian, the second edition of Metaverse Fashion Week comes to overturn the market's distrust and show that fashion in the metaverse is not just a wave. According to Giovana Graziosi Casimiro, executive responsible for the event:

"In One year we showed the world one of the strongest and most obvious use cases for the metaverse yet – digital fashion. After all, we don't all want to look like bland copies of the same avatar in our digital lives. Just like in the real world, we all want to individualize and curate the personal aesthetic for which we are recognized.”

In the 2023 edition, Metaverse Fashion Week will have the theme 'Future heritage', with the aim of bringing the next generation of fashion creators and designers to contrast worlds.
